Longueuil, March 13, 2019 - Users of the Réseau de transport de Longueuil (RTL) can now receive real-time updates of possible disruptions on their regular route thanks to Chrono notifications. A new feature in the app now lets users select their favourite bus lines, bus stops and departure times, and receive messages about them.
“Since December 2018, all RTL buses have been equipped with GPS, allowing users to track the buses on a map in real time in Chrono. Starting today, our users can also receive real-time information about their regular routes, making their trips much easier and smoother,” stated Pierre Brodeur, Chairman of the RTL Board of Directors.
Coming soon to Chrono, after the notifications, will be a real-time GPS-tracking feature that tells users when their next bus will arrive. That will be followed by on-board visual and voice stop announcements and real-time announcements of next buses due, with a target implementation date in 2020.

Chrono is a proprietary app of the Autorité régionale de transport métropolitain, developed and run by exo, which allows users across the entire public transit network in the Montréal metropolitan area to plan their trips and receive real-time notifications about the status of the network.
