NEW CHAIR AND NEW BOARD OF DIRECTORS AT RTL

Longueuil, December 1, 2021 – In the wake of the cities in the Agglomération de Longueuil appointing their respective representatives, a mostly new Board of Directors will be taking the helm of the Réseau de transport de Longueuil (RTL).

In fact, Geneviève Héon, member of the Agglomération de Longueuil’s Commission de la sécurité publique and associate economic development and innovation advisor at Ville de Longueuil, will be taking over as Chair of the Board. Ms. Héon has a Bachelor’s degree in communications (specialization in public relations) and a Master’s degree in business administration (MBA) from Université de Sherbrooke; she was elected on November 7 in the Vieux-Saint-Hubert-de la Savane district.

“I want to thank the new mayor of Longueuil, Catherine Fournier, for her trust in me. I’m excited to get down to work with my talented team members. The South Shore is a vibrant community, and I’m honoured to accept this mission on behalf of all elected officials in the Agglomération de Longueuil. I plan to make openness and teamwork my watchwords,” said Geneviève Héon, new Chair of the Board of Directors. “For our community to thrive, we need to want to make it happen. But more than that, we need a common vision for how to develop our territory, starting at the local level,” added Ms. Héon.
